Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA)
Requires contractors to take affirmative action for protected veterans, conduct outreach, set a hiring benchmark, and post all job openings to the state ESDS (state job bank) where jobs are located.
Executive Order 11246
Prohibits discrimination against all protected classes, requires covered contractors to develop an affirmative action program, and set placement goals for women and minorities.
Rehabilitation Act (Sec. 503)
Requires covered contractors to take affirmative action to hire and advance in employment individuals with disabilities, conduct outreach, ensure accessibility, and set a utilization goal.
